MS Track & Field 2024 Championship Meet

The Middle School Track and Field 2024 Championship Meet took place on March 19. After a long season of away meets, Shorecrest hosted the Championship Meet with 17 teams and over 350 athletes participating. The weather was amazing and made it a perfect day for competition.

The Shorecrest Chargers came out to perform their very best! Many of the Chargers were able to post personal records for their event on their way to finishing strong as a team. Both the girls and boys teams finished sixth overall.

Shorecrest had a number of top five finishers in various events throughout the day. The girls 4x100 relay (Khali C. '28, Hana D. '28, Lucy H. '29 and Isabella W. '29) made the top three, finishing 3rd overall. The sprint medley relay (Hana D. '28, Lucy H. '29, Morgan M. '29 and Isabella W. '29) placed 4th. Kai E. '30 finished 4th in the 1600 meter run. Lucy H. '29 placed 5th in the 100 meter dash.

The boys also had a strong outing overall. Top performances included Colin J. '28 finishing 2nd in the 100 hurdles and 4th in the high jump. Other notable performances were a 4th place finish by Temani W. '29 in the 400 meter dash and a strong 5th place finish for John J. '30 in the 1600 meter run.
