We want to ensure all members of our community have the best possible experience when attending presentations and performances at the Janet Root Theatre.
Shorecrest's Janet Root Theatre is now fully equipped with a Hearing Loop Assistive Listening System for major performances and Commencement. This system is designed to provide clear, direct sound to patrons with hearing aids or cochlear implants. When a patron enters their seat in the theater, their device should automatically connect to the system.
How to Use the Hearing Loop
- Automatic Connection: For most modern hearing aids and cochlear implants, the system will connect automatically once the patron is seated.
- Manual Connection: If the patron is not connected automatically, they can simply switch their hearing aid or cochlear implant to the "T" (Telecoil) setting.
- Need Equipment? Some headphones are available for anyone who needs them, including those whose hearing devices do not have a telecoil feature. They can be picked up at the booth in the back of the theater.
