Fifth Grade Surrealists
At the start of October the Shorecrest fifth graders had a field experience at the Dalí Museum, one of only two museum's worldwide to house a permanent collection of Spanish surrealist artist, Salavador Dalí. They visited the permanent collection along with a temporary mural exhibition, Outside In.
The students had a deep dive into Dalí's visual language and its symbolic meanings as inspiration for their current art surrealist project, Dalí's Dripping Clock. The project's focus is to draw a Dalí-esque dripping clock, around which they placed their own surrealist imagery in acrylic markers.
