Fourth graders used the Design Thinking process to solve the problem of getting an egg to arrive safely from the second floor stairwell of Charger Commons to the ground. This project complemented their current engineering unit.
Students had a list of materials that they could use, but each item cost them Deegan Dollars (in Ms. Deegan's classroom). They had the budget of only using up to $15! During the Design Process, students were able to: ask, imagine, plan, create, experiment and improve. They had fun testing their designs and dropping eggs from so high up!
