Khana Rebman '05 named Teacher of the Week

Shorecrest third grade teacher Khana Rebman (and Shorecrest Alumna Class of '05) enjoyed a visit in her classroom from Spectrum Bay News 9 when she was named their A+ Teacher of the week! Mrs. Rebman was nominated by a colleague who says she goes above and beyond for her third grade students, making each of them feel seen and special.

After seeing her in action, Bay News 9 Journalist Fallon Silcox shared, "It's so clear how much you love teaching and love your students!"

While teaching children remains her first love, Khana also conducts professional development to support schools in creating sustainable cultural changes and coaches teachers on fostering environments of belonging. She believes that in order for children to be successful citizens in the world, they must first be equipped with the tools to know themselves, see others, and engage critically with the world around them.
