LS Students Design 5k Billboards
Shorecrest Lower School students in first-fourth grades painted words of encouragement on two billboards for the Shore to Shorecrest 5k during art class. They were given the opportunity to draw a figure running or cheering on one banner and a smiley face on the other. Many of the students were excited to add their artwork to the billboards because they will be participating in the event this weekend.
Shorecrest Graphic Designer, Jon Hoefer, helped organize the project. An avid race participant, he said, "This project was a great way to bring together recycling of old billboards, students supporting the community as they walk/run, as well as the race itself. I'm sure the runners will appreciate the signs as they finish their last lap!"
