Shorecrest Robotics Shines at First Competition of the Season
Earlier in October 2025, two of Shorecrest’s Upper School Robotics teams 6104 M and 6104 G competed in their first VEX Robotics tournament of the 2025–2026 season. Both teams performed exceptionally well throughout the qualification rounds, advancing to the quarterfinals before being eliminated.
Team 6104 G capped off the event with an outstanding achievement, earning the Excellence Award, the highest honor presented in the VEX Robotics Competition. This prestigious award recognizes the top overall team that demonstrates excellence across all aspects of their robotics program, including engineering documentation, design process, teamwork, conduct, and performance.
Team 6104 G stood out for their exceptional Engineering Notebook and interview, strong robot performance in both qualification and skills matches, and their positive, student-driven approach. Their dedication, professionalism, and perseverance were evident throughout the event. Notably, this is the very award the team worked tirelessly to try to earn last season, making this early-season accomplishment especially meaningful.
Winning the Excellence Award also qualifies Team 6104 G for the Florida State Championship in February 2026, a testament to their hard work, growth, and determination. Congratulations to both Shorecrest Robotics teams for an inspiring start to the season!
