Middle School Green Volleyball Finishes Fourth at Indian Rocks Christian Tournament
Win v. St. Pete Christian 25-10 / 25-16
Win v. ODA 25-23 / 25-15
Win v. Academy of Holy Names 25-12 / 20-25 / 15-9
Win v. Indian Rocks 25-9 / 25-14
Loss v. Espiritu Santo 26-24 / 22-25 / 9-15
Loss v. St. Stephens Catholic 22-25 / 25-22 / 11-15
Last weekend, the Middle School Volleyball Green Team participated in the annual Indian Rocks Christian Tourney. Indian Rocks played host to 16 teams from the Tampa Bay area. In opening tournament play on Friday, the Chargers defeated St. Pete Christian and Out of Door Academy. The team’s 10am match on Saturday was against The Academy of Holy Names and the girls went on to win in three sets.
The team reached the semifinals after facing and easily defeating the host school’s team. The Chargers lost their final two matches of the tournament but not after giving it their all and making the other teams earn the win. Congratulations on placing 4th out of 16 teams.
Setter McKenna M provided strong leadership on the court and was instrumental in the Charger's performance throughout the weekend. Haley T accounted for a team high 14 kills and Taylor A racked up 13 recorded kills. Way to go ladies!
