CHARGERS MS SWIM FINISHES ON A HIGH NOTE

Athletics

Shorecrest Middle School swimming concluded their season this past Saturday at the Tampa Prep hosted Middle Division Championships. They competed against Berkeley Prep, Trinity Prep, Tampa Prep and Northside Christian. The Charger girls team was proud to come home with the Runners Up plaque, and the boys finished third overall.

Medals were awarded to the top three finishers, so our girls 200 Medley Relay (Brenna D., Shannon R., Louise C. and Sarah L.) proudly stood atop the podium to receive their gold medals and the 400 Free Relay with the same personnel received second place.

Brenna D. was our only individual first place finisher and she did so in the 50 Back.

Other members of the girls team receiving podium recognition were: Shannon R. (3rd – 100 Free, 2nd – 200 Free), Devyn K. (3rd – 50 Free), and Louise C. (3rd – 50 Fly). On the boys side the Chargers 200 Free Relay (Oliver H., Evan H., Carson Q. and Carlos G.) stood atop the podium to receive their gold medals and the 200 Medley Relay (Jack W., Carson Q., Evan H., Zachary H.) and the 400 Free Relay (Oliver H., Zachary H., Duncan W., Jack W.) both received third place medals.

Individually Oliver H. (2nd – 50 Fly), Evan H. (3rd – 50 Fly), Jack W. (2nd – 200 Free, 2nd – 50 Back) and Duncan W. (3rd – 50 Back) all received recognition for their accomplishments.

Congratulations to the rest of our team, Emily F., Scott S., Stella P., Brooke W., Ellie L., Genesis B., and Kyle W., for contributing to the overall success of the season. Great job everyone!
