MS Green Volleyball Finishes Season with a Victory; Gold Team Awards

On October 12th, the Chargers traveled to Admiral Farragut to face the Blue Jackets. The girls controlled the first game with nice sets from Kate C and Lillee B, kills from Léa S, Taylor H, Maeve D, and Taylor R, and a wonderful save from Bella M. Keira H finished off the first game with a service ace. The success in the first game carried over into the second game, where strong play was displayed by Riley W, Kate C, Lillee B, Katie W, Avery M, and Keira H. Way to go Chargers!
After school on Tuesday, the green team had their season-ending party where Coach Hodgson spoke about the team’s growth over the course of the season. Awards were also given out for the team MVP, Most Improved, and Charger Award winners.
The Middle School Gold Volleyball team celebrated the end of their season this week as well. The team had a record of 3 wins and 4 losses. Many of the girls had never played volleyball before so seeing their progress throughout the season was very exciting! In addition to learning the rules of the game and how to serve the ball, the girls also learned how to work together on the court. By the end of the season, the Team was putting two and three touch passes together. The best game was our home match against Northside Christian. The Chargers won in three sets: 25-23, 12-25, 16-14.
