Boys Varsity Soccer, State Final Four Recap

Athletics

The Boys team traveled to the Maclay School in Tallahassee on Saturday, February 17 to compete in the FHSAA 1A State Semi-Final Soccer match. The team lost the match 1 to 0 getting scored on with 13 minutes to go off of a well-executed set piece. Shorecrest played tough throughout the entire match and made it difficult for the defending State Champions. The Chargers in the last ten minutes created a few chances themselves, but could not find the back of the net.

The Chargers finished a phenomenal season with a 17-2-2 record, scoring 58 goals and only conceding 7 goals the entire year. The Chargers took on a great mentality this year of playing and working for each other, understanding that nothing would be given to them and that they would have to earn everything that they get. Congratulations to the Boys Varsity team for their commitment and hard work.
