A JK Magic Tea Party

Experiential School News

What happens when Junior Kindergarteners become curious about magic? A truly enchanting project unfolds! Shorecrest JK students in Ms. Summers' class embarked on an exploration of what makes things feel "magical," leading them on a journey of invention and imagination.

The young Chargers also embraced their inner wizards, using woodworking and wire skills to craft personalized magic wands. They also invented colorful, fantastical potions.

The culmination of their learning and imaginative play was a grand "Magic Tea Party," where families were invited to witness their students' spectacular magic show. While the tricks were dazzling, the real magic happened behind the scenes. Our students worked long and hard, gaining crucial skills like collaboration (helping each other practice routines), confidence (performing in front of others), decision-making, and perseverance. This project reinforced the deep satisfaction of working together toward an exciting, shared goal - proving that the most powerful magic is the joy of discovery and teamwork!
