Cashing in on Charger Winnings

Shorecrest Experiential School student, Liam B., and Head of The Experiential School, Mrs. Hollenbeck, spent a morning this week MAKING as part of a Charger Winnings package his parents won at the SCA Soiree.
Liam had the opportunity to complete a wooden automata showcasing his favorite bird: the toucan. Mrs. Hollenbeck repurposed wooden tables and benches from the ES playground and used that wood to create the automata. Liam also used a dye-cut machine to create rod puppets and two customized T-shirts. Iron-on vinyl and an iron-press were part of the process. Liam enjoyed every moment of the experience!
Six lucky Middle Schoolers joined their teachers, Mrs. Blush and Ms. Janack, for a fun and relaxed round of golf at Cypress Links par 3 Golf Course as part of a Charger Winnings prize. The Chargers took a swing at 9 holes of golf with great company in beautiful weather.
