Head of School Letter: Happy Spring Vacation!
It is hard to believe that we have arrived at spring vacation – this year has simply flown by! When we look at all the things our students have accomplished thus far this year, their achievements reflect such growth and maturation. And we all know that after spring vacation it is a sprint to the end of the year.
There is so much to look forward to in the coming months: Grandparents & Special Friends Day, Poetry in the Park, Upper School Service Week, Oklahoma! spring musical, athletic competitions, performances by Kindergarten and first grade, Alpha on the Go! and JK on the Run. And of course there are the meaningful ceremonies which recognize and acknowledging our students’ milestone events: JK Bridge Day, Fourth Grade Moving Up Ceremony, Eighth Grade Moving Up Breakfast and the culminating event for our seniors: Shorecrest’s Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16, when celebrate and say goodbye to this amazing Class of 2026.
Looking towards next week, whether you are headed off to a sunny location, bundling up for snowy weather, or staying in beautiful St. Petersburg, I hope that the upcoming vacation provides some time and space to relax and enjoy being together with family and friends. May this break be a true opportunity to unplug and recharge your batteries. We want everyone to return to campus feeling refreshed and ready for a fun and busy springtime.
Enjoy the time away. We look forward to coming back together for a joyful and productive final stretch of the school year!
All the best,
Nancy
