Second Grade Citizenship

Second grade launches each school year with a citizenship unit. Students learn about what a citizen is, what it means to be a good citizen, who can be good citizens, and what we can do in our communities to be good citizens. Coach Pope and Officer Joe came and spoke with the second grade students about ways they can be good citizens on campus. Some of the ideas students came up with were picking up trash that isn't yours and throwing it away, helping someone up if they fall, and giving high fives just because.
