Homecoming 2025 is Coming Soon!

Upper School News Lower School News

Homecoming week is a longstanding tradition at Shorecrest that focuses on community and Chargers spirit! This year events are timed differently - here is what to expect:

On Monday, October 6, the 2025 Homecoming Court was announced during an Upper School assembly. The 5 boys and 5 girls of the Homecoming Court were selected by the senior class. The Homecoming Queen and Mr. Spirit are voted on from the Court by the Upper School student body and announced at the Homecoming game (more details below).

Congratulations to the Homecoming Court, members of the Class of 2026 (picutred):
Back: Garrison Davis, Asher Walton, Reece Campbell, Braden Stone, Nicholas Canizares
Front: Simi Damani, Sally Keane, Georgia Kurland, Kaelie Dieter, Alex Lewis

On Friday, October 17, the Chargers will rock their green and gold spirit wear. ES will have a small Pep Rally just for little ones, and the rest of the student body will fill the Crisp Gym for a rowdy Pep Rally including spirited games, cheer performances, and the drawing of Upper School Class Competition Day match-ups. (More on Class Competition Day below.)

Shorecrest Alumni will gather for a Homecoming Tailgate; familiar faces will come together in the Wood Family Pavilion before the Homecoming Varsity Football game. Kickoff of the game vs. Foundation Christian Academy is at 7pm. The crowning of Mr. Spirit and The Homecoming Queen will take place during halftime. The theme for Upper School fans at the Homecoming Football Game is Minions, so there may be a lot of yellow in the stands! Please come cheer on your Chargers!

On Saturday, October 18, Alumni are invited to campus for Coffee & Croissants from 9-10:30am. A campus tour will blend nostalgia with discovery of exciting new additions to Shorecrest.

Later that evening an Alumni Social is planned at Grand Central Brewhouse from 5-6:30pm. Chargers Alumni can enjoy light bites, a complimentary drink, and great company as we celebrate Shorecrest connections across the years.

During Homecoming Competition Week, Upper School students participate in themed, judged costume days. This tradition has led to dress-up days for all students, including a school-wide Class Color Day on Friday. Four class colors repeat throughout the student body and promote class unity and connection to older peers who share the same class color. (The class color travels with the student as they progress through Shorecrest.)
