At this time of year, as we all take time to think about what we are most grateful for in our lives, it is clear that here at Shorecrest we have a lot to be thankful for. When our littlest students share what they are thankful for, they often speak of best friends, moms and dads, or favorite toys. Our older students sometimes have a more expansive world view, offering their appreciation of the parents and teachers, but also expressing their gratitude to live in a time and place where they have so much choice to determine the direction their life goes.

As for us here at Shorecrest? We are incredibly thankful to be part of such a wonderful school community - a community of bright young scholars, innovative educators, passionate administrators and warm support staff. But we are also so grateful for our larger community - our parents, alumni, grandparents, Business Partners and friends! It is because of the support of these community members that our school is the special place it is.

Without the many people who volunteer in the classroom, in Helping Hands, through Boosters, in the Theatre, in the library, with Celebrate the Arts, at Career Day, with SCA, as Class Representatives and more... this place just would not be the robust community it is!

Our community also continues to offer an amazing level of financial support to the school through the Annual Fund - almost three quarters of parents have supported the Annual Fund this year, and we have over twenty Business Partners that provide financial backing of Shorecrest programs. Without this essential support, our school would not have the resources to meet our yearly operating budget. So to all of our alumni, parents, grandparents, Business Partners, and friends - we thank you for all that you do to help support our school!

If you were in carline this morning, hopefully you received a small token of our appreciation, but if you didn't, please know just how appreciative we all are that you are part of our Shorecrest family!
