Last Saturday, 8th grader Reagan Q. and 20 of her teammates raced in the Junior Regional Championship, the last of a 5-race sprint triathlon series used to identify the up-and-coming elite racers for national and international competition.
Reagan had a great strategic race and placed 1st in her age division, 1st in age 15 and under Talent ID division, and 5th out of all females in the entire race. She also handily won the series with a win at every race along the way. This caps off a great season for Reagan, with races all over the US - highlighted by a 14th place in the age 15 and Under Draft Legal Youth National Championship. She also contributed to a 3rd place finish for her Triton Elite High Performance Team in the National Team Series against 60 of the top teams in the US. Reagan and her teammates are coached by her mom, Karen, and she is excited to focus on swimming with the Chargers Swim team for the next several months.
