Thank you to all the parents who have stepped up to make the start of the 2017 football season memorable! Coach Zelaya says he is "proud and happy to see the parents and players working together as one team with a common goal."
At the season opener vs Keswick last week, the weather was an unfortunate drawback. The MS Chargers were only able to play the first six minutes of the first quarter of the football game. "I don't see it as a loss or a victory," Coach reports, "but as a mini-football jamboree. This Jamboree game will be used as an example and a stepping stone to better the team. Even though it was a short season opener, the Chargers showed signs of a young team coming together and establishing an identity."
Their second game was a nail biter till the very end with a final score of 14-12 vs Northside Christian. What a great game and great win for our MS football team! The Chargers played with pride and heart, and their display of good sportsmanship was duly noted.
Please come out and support our team at the next home game on October 12th at 5pm vs Canterbury.
