MS Football vs Indian Rocks Christian, 9/6

The Chargers Middle School football team traveled to Indian Rocks Christian on Thursday, September 6. Despite the lightning delays and the shortened fourth quarter, the Chargers came out victorious 8-7 against an experienced squad.
A stout defense lead by Drew B, Talon H, Enzo P and others kept IRC on their heels most of the evening with strong tackling. The defense benefited by a timely interception from James F and an interception and dazzling return from Tre M that finished the game.
Once the Chargers shed their first quarter jitters, the offense started to hum with long sustained drives punctuated with powerful runs from Talon H, Drew B and timely short passes from Rogan K. The Chargers scored off a beautiful pass from Rogan K to James F on a stop and go route for a 40 yard touchdown catch. The confident coaches called for and successfully converted a 2-point conversion that ultimately proved the game winner.
