Middle School Shares Entrepreneurial Projects

Middle School News

Students in the Shorecrest Middle School Entrepreneurial Design Institute elective class visited Upper School AP Economics class to talk business. Middle School students presented their entrepreneurial ideas to juniors and seniors to practice their presentation skills and develop experience defending their ideas and answering tough questions on the spot. Upper School students pressed the Middle Schoolers on the “problem that their project would solve.”

Some of the projects included:

  • A device that removes nails from the road - no more flat tires!
  • A keyboard for your phone that uses lasers to track your typing
  • A golf club that can improve your swing

This cross-divisional collaboration benefitted both the Middle and Upper School students giving each side valuable experience pitching and evaluating ideas, respectively.
