The Junior Kindergartners enjoyed a field experience at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo to learn about plants from other continents. They used iPad devices or clipboards and paper to document plants they found from Africa, Europe and South America as well as from our own continent of North America. The wedding, butterfly and fruit gardens were also of great interest, and the students enjoyed seeing bananas, oranges and more growing on the trees.
Following their exploration of the garden, it was back on the bus and off to Largo Park to enjoy a picnic and fun on a playground that offered many different experiences from those they enjoy every day at school.
