Mrs. Gende’s Ninth Grade Honors Physics students wrote books about the physics behind a sport of their choice. Using the Book Creator app, students illustrated what they have learned about linear motion in these very impressive texts.
The assignment posed the concept: A famous Sports Magazine has just hired you to design, create and publish the Kinematics Special Edition of the magazine. Create a magazine using Book Creator.
Final projects had to include verbal, graphical and mathematical representations. Students were given a rubric to conduct a self-assessment of their finished project. On the last day of the linear motion unit, the class gave peer-to-peer presentations and offered feedback to each other.
