On Friday, February 9, nearly 100 members of the 1923 Society, our leadership giving society of community members who donate $2,500+ to the Shorecrest Fund, gathered together with Emeritus Trustees and other senior leaders at Savant on Second for this year's 1923 Society Celebration. This donor appreciation event celebrating the impact of annual giving was made especially memorable as attendees joined Head of School, Nancy L. Spencer, in honoring the Craig family.
Diana and Marshall Craig have been integral to Shorecrest's success for over 46 years. Their volunteerism and leadership, with Diana serving as the first Director of Admissions from 1989-2010, and Marshall's service on the Board of Trustees, have been remarkable. When their grandchildren joined the Shorecrest community, their involvement grew to include supporting the Grandparent Council - helping organize social events and even serving as Grandparent Giving Chairs.
Concurrent with their leadership and service, Diana and Marshall have also made Shorecrest a philanthropic priority for their family. They have contributed to the Shorecrest Fund every year for 36 years, most of which as members of the 1923 Society. Their son, Hutch Craig '89, and his wife, Kim, have also consecutively given for over 19 years and are members of the 1923 Society as well. This is the longest, unbroken streak of annual giving by any family in our community.
The Craig family’s unwavering dedication has fortified Shorecrest's mission and helped maintain high educational standards, driving the school's progress forward.
