GIRLS:

The Chargers Swim and Dive team competed against the two local Catholic schools and the girls were able to take both and the boys won against St. Pete Catholic with a depleted squad due to the Junior college night. The boys won every event against SPC and against both teams Joseph B. (200 Free, 100 Free), Caleb K. (200 IM) and Dominic H. (Diving) were able to finish first. The ladies had an excellent meet with wins all three relays. The 200 Medley Relay was staffed by Emery C., Ainsley B., Taylor E. and Sarah L.; the 200 Free by Mariyah S., Shannon R., Claire E. Reagan Q. and the 400 Free by Sarah L., Taylor E., Emery Camp and Claire E. Winning two events against each team was Taylor E. (200 IM and 100 Back) and taking one each were: Sarah L. (200 Free), Reagan Q. (50 Free), Sophie E. (Diving), Stella P. (100 Fly) and Ainsley B. (500 Free). Great job by both teams!

 

Our Middle School team had their first meet of the season and were victorious! Winning two events were Jeremy B. (100 IM, 50 Breast), Ainsley B. (100 Free, 50 Breast) and Claire E. (100 IM, 50 Fly). Winning one event each were William B. (100 Free), Jake D. (50 Fly), Gregory F. (50 Back), Daisy N. (200 Free) and Kate R. (50 Back).

 

During the same week, Chargers Swim & Dive hosted and competed in the Tampa Bay Classic Private School Invitational. Teams from around the state entered to make this an incredibly fast meet with at least three teams that will be in contention for a state title. Congratulations to Dominic H. (Diving) on being our sole first place finish in this very competitive meet! Others with top three finishes were Taylor E. (3^rd – 200 IM) and Sophie E. (3^rd – Diving). Great job by the girls team finishing 5^th overall and the boys for their 7^th place finish out of 19 teams entered.

This was a big night for Shorecrest Swim & Dive as it has been rare over the past years to win against both the girls and boys Tampa Prep teams. On the boys side we won both the 200 Medley Relay (Misha M., David S., Caleb K. and Joseph B.) and the 200 Free Relay (Joseph B., Michael L., Misha M. and Caleb K.). Relying on our depth, we had the following one event winners: Misha M. (200 Free), Joseph B. (200 IM) and Dominic H. (Diving). Contributing with two event wins was Caleb K. (500 Free and 100 Back). Again relying on our depth, we had one relay win in the 400 Free (Claire E., Sarah M., Ainsley B. and Reagan Q.) and individual wins by Sarah L. (200 IM), Sophie E. (Diving) and Emery C. (100 Back). Reagan Q. was a two event winner in the 50 Free and 100 Free events. Congratulations to the team on this success!
