Two Shorecrest Upper School robotics teams competed at the CREATE Invitational Signature Event in Council Bluffs, Iowa, during spring break across four days. There were 144 teams from 10 countries and at least 40 states - an incredibly competitive and high-level event.

Team 6104G had an amazing performance. They earned the Design Award and, for the first time in Shorecrest history, advanced to the semi-final round at a signature event. They finished 9th in their division and 15th in skills, which is a huge accomplishment at this level.

Team 6104M also had a really strong performance. This was only their second signature event ever, and their first one they were invited to attend after earning an award. They made it to Qualification Round 16 and finished 28th in their division and 81st in skills. It was an incredible experience for them and a big step forward as a developing team.

“I’m really proud of how both teams showed up, competed, and represented Shorecrest throughout the event,” said robotics coach Sarah Balisalisa.
