Cross Country at Indian Rocks and Seffner Invitationals

On September 5, the cross country Chargers traveled to Taylor Park in Largo to compete in the Indian Rocks Invitational. Despite temperatures in the mid-90s and a heat index reaching 108, both teams managed to run strong.
The girls team finished in 3rd and the boys finished in 6th place. Isabelle Saunders '20 finished 6th, Sabrina Aboud '22 finished 9th, and Lili S. '25 finishing 15th.
The following week the team traveled to Holloway Park in Lakeland to run in the Seffner Invitational. For the girls race there were 20 teams and 186 runners. The boys field had 32 teams with 258 runners.
The girls ran to a third place finish with Hailey Howard '22 finishing third. The boys managed to run to a 24th place team finish. All of the runners were able to improve their times from our last Holloway Park run.
Up Next: The team will be traveling to Starkey Park in New Port Richey this Saturday, September 21, to run in the Mitchell Invitational.
