TRANSPORTATION TALLIES

Project fieldwork can take place on campus as well as off. A walk around the school parking lots to take a survey of the types of vehicles was a great way for the Alpha students to learn how to use tally marks to record findings. It was an example of applying learning to real life situations.
The preschoolers were excited to count and compare their tallies of the sedans, SUVs, vans, trucks and more seen at school, and when they ran into teachers they knew, or Mr. Murphy, they were so proud to show off their work!
