Making Cranberry Sauce in Alpha

Each of the Alpha classes made a batch of fresh cranberry sauce for their Thanksgiving Feasts. They touched the cranberries before they were washed and cooked to learn they were hard and round. After adding sugar, water, and freshly squeezed orange juice, the children listened to the “pop, pop, pop” of the cranberries bursting open over the heat of the skillet. The wonders of cooking with children!
