One day someone decided to split time and call a certain number of slices a “year”.
There’s a geniality in the concept, don’t you agree?
In the Gregorian Calendar twelve months get us close enough to the limit of exhaustion, but miraculously this idea of renewing and reinventing ourselves makes us feel good again about everything.
This new number helps us believe in our own hopes, with thoughts that from here on it will be new, fresh and better.
Traditions, milestones and dreams get tangled in the calendar sometimes, but the truth is that time is this fragile thread represented by seconds, minutes, hours…
Our Experiential School students are starting to grasp what time really means, but their evolving understanding is home for a very special concept, and a reminder: enjoy this second, this very moment when all that matters is what we are doing now.
2021 for me will be the year that marked the beginning of my journey at Shorecrest and for that I will be forever thankful.
As we turn the pages of our calendars, I hope we bring with us countless special memories. The children will make sure it happens. I have no doubt about that!

The teachers and I thought that we'd welcome the new year in The Experiential School with a "Fun Week" for students.
Transitioning back after a long break can be tricky sometimes, so we thought a few extra "sprinkles of joy" would make the first week of 2022 memorable.

January 4 - Bring a Stuffed Animal (Students should be able to carry them independently.)
January 5 - Crazy Socks Day
January 6 - Favorite Sports Team
January 7 - Crazy Hair Day
