Head of School Letter: 2025 Giving Week

Your Shorecrest tuition pays for an outstanding educational experience for your child. Each year we ask that you also participate in the Shorecrest Fund, an annual contribution that enables the School to provide additional enhancements for specific aspects of our program. 

Your generosity to the Shorecrest Fund is an opportunity to demonstrate support for the people and programs at the heart of this school. The impact of the Shorecrest Fund is felt every year, every day, and by everyone within our school community. Because the Shorecrest Fund must be raised quickly and fully spent this school year, every gift has an immediate and meaningful impact on our students today. What does your gift support?

Within the Shorecrest Fund, you can choose a designation that reflects what inspired your gift, making your support personally meaningful. Our advancement team ensures every contribution is guided to the area of greatest impact. For those who prefer to be more specific, the Fund also offers special designations, while still ensuring every gift strengthens the Shorecrest experience. Contributions may be directed across four categories:

• Teachers – professional development, classroom resources and curriculum enhancement
• Co-Curriculars – athletics, arts, clubs and student life
• High-Need Areas – Unexpected expenses and urgent needs
• Campus Enhancements - green spaces, playground equipment, safety and security

Shorecrest Fund Fall Appeal

If you wish, you may also designate your gift in honor of a teacher or coach who has positively influenced your child. When you share that designation with us, the educator will receive a note letting them know that a gift was made in their name, a recognition that means more than words can say.

Like many independent schools, philanthropy plays a critical role in supporting the School’s Mission and Core Values. Your participation in the Shorecrest Fund allows us to best serve our students by addressing immediate needs, launching new initiatives, and responding swiftly to opportunities and challenges. And every dollar donated towards the Shorecrest Fund is used in the current year to enhance the exceptional educational experience for our students.
