Eight Shorecrest Seniors Recognized as National Merit Commended Students

Shorecrest seniors Isabel Brown '26, Reece Campbell '26, Anastasia Davis '26, Angela Gu '26, Jasper Hallock-Wishner '26, Sally Keane '26, Leila MacIntyre '26, Cole Oman '26 have been named National Merit Commended Students. They were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their exceptional scores on the 2024 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation placed among the top 2/3rd scorers of the more than 1.3 million students who entered the 2026 National Merit Scholarship competition. These students scored in the top 3% nationwide!

Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may be candidates for hundreds of special scholarships offered by corporate sponsors due to their outstanding ability and potential for academic success in college.

These scholars are in addition to the recently announced National Merit Semifinalist from the Shorecrest Class of 2026.
