Community Donor Spotlight: The Eichenbaum Family
For St. Pete natives Erin '99 and David Eichenbaum, Shorecrest represents both a meaningful chapter of their own education and an important part of their family’s present. David attended Shorecrest through Middle School; Erin is a Class of 1999 Shorecrest alumna. As parents of two children, the Eichenbaums value thoughtful, mission-driven education and remain actively connected to the School as former students and as supporters.
Their daughter, Mari '30, joined Shorecrest in fourth grade and is now in eighth grade. Reflecting on the School’s growth, David shares, “I am so happy to see how far Shorecrest has come since I was a student.” The Eichenbaums appreciate the evolution of the School while staying grounded in the values that first drew them to Shorecrest.
As leadership donors and members of the 1923 Society, David and Erin support the Shorecrest Fund out of a shared desire to help strengthen the School and ensure an exceptional educational experience for Mari and her peers. They are especially passionate about Shorecrest’s vision to educate the whole child and prepare students for college and beyond.
When asked what they value most, their answer is clear - the faculty. “I love most how invested and available our daughter’s teachers are,” David notes. “They clearly care about her success.”
