With Grandparents & Special Friends Day and St. Pete STEAMfest in our rearview mirrors, we can reflect on the success both of these programs have in bringing our ever-growing community together. Our Grandparents and Special Friends, along with families outside of the Shorecrest community had the unique opportunity to experience the inclusive, innovative and transformational education available to our students firsthand. Project- and inquiry-based learning, hands-on activities centered on technology, and a commitment to social responsibility are all hallmarks of a Shorecrest education. These each share something vital in common: they are all supported by The Shorecrest Annual Fund.
Participation by our entire community in this fundraising endeavor is essential for balancing the school’s operating budget each year. As is true of many independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Shorecrest education. The Trustees, Faculty/Staff, and Shorecrest Community Association (SCA) Board lead the rest of the community by their example of 100% participation in annual giving.
With only 60% of Shorecrest Families who have currently given, imagine the impact that 100% family participation could have on every student’s experience?
We are counting on your support! Whether it is $10, $100, or more, we hope that you will join with fellow community members and invest in the exceptional people and programs that allow your student(s) to flourish. If you haven't had a chance to participate in the Annual Fund this school year, please consider giving today at www.shorecrest.org/give. Our spring deadline for new giving to the Annual Fund is March 31.
