3rd Annual Shore to Shorecrest 5K Run/Walk

Join the Shorecrest community for the 3rd Annual SHORE to SHORECREST 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 25!

• 5k Start: 8am
• Start Line: Flora Wylie Park
• Finish Line: Shorecrest Campus
• Also returning: the Sparky Sprint for children 8 years & younger & the Wellness Village!

Celebrate Shorecrest history with a 5k from the School's original location near Flora Wylie Park to the current campus. This family-friendly event promotes health, wellness and Chargers spirit! Some details have changed this year so please read the race website details in full.

The 5k

Set yourself up for your first or your fastest 5k! The flat course starts at Flora Wylie Park and winds along the water, up through Coffee Pot Bayou, past the Crisp Boat Launch and up First Avenue, finishing with a half lap around the school. This is a closed course with aid stations along the way, friendly to fast runners and social walkers. In-person participants will receive a T-shirt and finisher medal. *There will be no shuttle service provided during this year's event*

Sparky Sprint

Students 8 years and younger can take part in the Sparky Sprint at the Shorecrest Wellness Village, located in front of Charger Commons on campus. This is a dash down the Lower School carline with a special medal, separate race registration and other surprises!

Virtual 5k

Can’t join us in person? Chargers anywhere in the world can participate in the Shore to Shorecrest Virtual 5k. We’ve made the entry simple. Show your Chargers pride from afar! \Share your photos on social media and tag #Shorecrest5k so Chargers can see you in action wherever you may be!

Race Day Schedule:

• 6am - Parking opens (The last shuttle to the start line will leave the parking lot at 7:15am)
• 7am - Registration begins
• 8am - Race start at Flora Wylie Park (1400 N Shore Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704)
• 8:30am - Health and Wellness Village opens on the Gaffney Green
• 9:30am - Sparky Sprint (for Chargers 8 years old and younger)

Packet Pickup:

Please plan to pick up your packet in the Shorecrest Athletic Center Jacobson Lobby during one of the following two dates:

• Tuesday, October 21, 3:30-6:30pm 
• Wednesday, October 22, 3:30-6:30pm 

Participants under 18 years of age must have an adult present to pick up their packets. 

Parking:

Parking at the Start Line: Participants are encouraged to head to the start line in advance of the event start time. Due to limited parking, we highly encourage ride-sharing and carpooling to ensure a convenient experience for everyone. There will be limited parking spots available on a first come, first served basis at North Shore Park Parking Lot, as well as the North Shore Aquatic Complex along North Shore Drive NE. 

NEW THIS YEAR - A coffee vendor will be on site with tasty beverages available for purchase while you wait for the warm ups lead by The Athleticus to start.

Parking at Shorecrest: Complimentary on-campus parking will be limited to the First Street and Junior Parking lots. Weather permitting, Event Parking will also be available for use. Due to limited parking, we highly encourage ride-sharing and carpooling to ensure a convenient experience for everyone. Parking instructions will be shared with participants in advance of the event - please note there will not be a shuttle service to the start line during this year's event.

Other Notes:
For the safety of everyone no wheels will be allowed with the exceptions of wheelchairs and strollers. Please no roller skates, skateboards, etc.
As Shorecrest is a pet-free campus, we kindly ask that you leave four-legged friends at home.
