Senior Spotlight: Eve Bonnemort ‘25
Eve Bonnemort ‘25 exemplifies compassion, leadership and academic excellence. She has completed 10 AP courses, excelled as the captain of the varsity girls basketball team and dedicated countless hours to school clubs, activities and community service.
After serving as a Student Council Representative for three consecutive years, Eve went on to lead as Student Council President during her senior year at Shorecrest. Under her leadership, the organization hosted a dodgeball tournament that also doubled as a canned food drive.
And as Page Turners (Book Club) President, she directed a school-wide book drive, collecting books for Habitat for Humanity and local homeless shelters. Inside the club, they read fun books to balance out the more dense writing from English class.
Eve not only steps up into already existing leadership roles, she also has a strong track record of taking the initiative to fill gaps and meet community needs in creative, new and innovative ways.
She founded the First Year Family program in 2023 to mentor the school’s freshman class, helping them navigate the transition by bringing them into the community and promoting school traditions. She also started the Mock Trial Club.
It’s clear that her devotion to the community is rooted in how much she cares for others. “Her ability to feel for another and then make choices to help that other person has been really beautiful to watch,” one of her teachers said.
Another said Eve is “mindfully inclusive and thoughtfully supportive.” For her big heart, Eve was awarded the Shorecrest Core Value Award for Compassion.
Her impact was extended beyond campus. In 2023, she was selected to attend HOBY Leadership Conference in West Florida. She received recognition as the Most Improved Delegate for the Rio De Janeiro Protocol Committee at Philadelphia Model UN.
Eve has tutored in math, completed an internship with Sign In Solutions and shadowed a physician over the course of her studies. She is passionate about mental health and wellness, and has used her summers to attend a New York University Psychology program and a Stanford Neuroscience program for high school students. She has also taken part in the Jazz Club, Eurasian Student Union and National Art Honor Society. And in 2024, she was selected as the Homecoming Queen.
Eve's standout leadership, smile and genuine spirit have left a lasting legacy on the Shorecrest community. Eve will attend Rollins College in the fall.
