Senior Spotlight: Sarah Ayscue '25
A creative force with a stellar eye for detail, Sarah Ayscue '25 has made a lasting impact on the Shorecrest community through her passion for the arts. Whether shaping clay in the studio or sketching new ideas, she brings both imagination and discipline to her ceramic creations.
In the 2022–2023 Pinellas County Art Region of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, which received over 1,730 submissions, Sarah’s work earned a prestigious Gold Key, advancing to the national level—where it was awarded a Silver Medal for its originality, technical skill, and personal voice. The following year, she received another Gold Key for her piece Inside Out, and in 2025, she earned a Silver Key for Clean Mess and an Honorable Mention for Through My Eyes.
Sarah’s creativity is matched by her leadership and dedication to service. She served as Vice President of the Environmental Club, was an elected member of the Honor Council, and actively participated in service clubs including Paws With a Cause and SPARC. On the field, she helped lead the Varsity Girls Softball team to a district championship and regional runner-up finish.
An accomplished scholar as well, Sarah is a member of both the National Art Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, the Math Honor Society.
This fall she will attend North Carolina State University, where we look forward to seeing her continue to grow as an artist, leader and Changemaker.
