Wednesday, October 3: Volunteer Training and Orientation.
8:15-9:15am in the Student Activity Center (adjacent to the library). ALSO Picture Retakes. ALSO JK Mom’s Night Out at FarmTable Cucina above Locale Market, 179 2nd Ave N, St. Pete. 7pm.
Saturday, October 6: Alpha Playdate
10am at Northshore Park, 901 N Shore Dr NE. (Paperless Post emailed invitation coming soon.)
Thursday, October 11: Shorecrest Theatre presents “Puss in Boots, the Musical: a Grimm Brothers Production.”
A modern adaptation of an old favorite. 1:30 performance for LS and 7pm performance for family and friends. More info coming soon!

Tuesday, October 16: SCA meeting 8:15–9:45am in the JRT Lobby.
Friday, October 19: Parent/Guardian breakfast
Right after drop off at Cassis, 170 Beach Dr NE, St. Pete. ALSO Shorecrest Mom's Night Out Luau.
Saturday, October 20: STEAMakers - Experiential and Lower School Open House. A great day for interested friends and neighbors to drop by and visit; 10am - 1pm. RSVP at www.shorecrest.org/OpenHouse.
Friday, October 26: Costume Parade and Fall Festival (more info to come on this beloved tradition!)

At North Shore Pool, 901 N Shore Dr NE, St. Pete. 3pm.
Save the Date: October 26 - Costume Parade & Fall Festival
The day begins with students arriving at school through carline dressed in costume. A parking and event viewing map and more details about costumes and Fall Festival registration information will come home soon. At 8:30am, parents and guardians will watch ES and LS students parade in their costumes from Charger Blvd into the Athletic Center. Students will change clothes and have a snack before parents/guardians sign them out for Fall Festival. The Shorecrest Community Association (SCA) sponsors Fall Festival. It is a 2-hour family celebration that will take place on the football field. There will be lots of fun activities for children of all ages. Fall Festival ends at noon.
Students still on campus after noon should be registered for Schools Out Child Care. This is not a regular aftercare day because it is a half day of school.
Fall Festival Volunteers Needed
Planning is underway for Fall Festival, and parent volunteers are needed to help the Committee with arrangements and at Fall Festival. Volunteers will teach crafts, oversee the bounce houses, serve food and work the prize stations. If you are able to volunteer that day, Friday, October 26, please click the volunteer box on the bottom of the online registration or contact the Fall Festival Committee at [email protected].
Fall Conference Sign Up
November 8 is a scheduled conference day for all Experiential School parents/guardians. Log in to https://shorecrest.learning.powerschool.com today and sign up for a Fall Conference on the teacher’s webpage for your child’s class. Appointment times will be offered in 30-minute increments. Fall and spring conferences will be the same appointment time, so when you sign up, you are scheduling the appointment time for both conferences. Contact the teacher via email if you need to schedule a parent-teacher conference on an alternative date.
During the conference, the teacher will share your student’s portfolio to communicate progress in all areas of development (cognitive, social and emotional, personal, fine motor, gross motor) and make their learning visible. Teachers will discuss children’s growth, both as an individual student and as a classroom member. Strengths and areas needing support will be communicated and an action plan will be formed if needed.
Registration for School Closed Child Care
Plan ahead for conference day child care. School is not in session on November 8, but child care for the half or full day is available by advance reservation. You must register a week in advance to reserve a space. Click here, to sign up https://shorecrest.campbrainre
