4th Grade Learns Google Drive

Lower School News

Fourth graders in Mrs. Boarman’s class visited the Learning Lab this week to learn about the features of Google Drive. They received their own logins and passwords so they can create and manage their folders, documents, presentations, drawings - and later this year, their own websites! Google Drive will allow the students to access their work from different devices and in many places, including home.

This is just the first of many ways that the fourth graders will use technology to enhance and extend their learning. Their first project was creating tweets (140 characters or less) about their summer fun. In the coming weeks, they will continue to learn how to be good digital citizens, how to search for information effectively, how to analyze and navigate websites, and how to use digital tools to communicate about their learning.
