On the International Day of Peace, Ms. Horne’s second grade class read “What Does Peace Feel Like” by Vladamir Randusky. The book is a collection of sayings of what peace sounds like, looks like, tastes like and feels like to children from the Ambrit International School in Rome.
Shorecrest second graders then discussed peace and how it comes in many forms. They were inspired to make their own peace book! Each student gave their perspective of what peace feels like, smells like, sounds like, tastes like, or looks like. They “published” their book and now it is housed in their classroom. Some excerpts are seen here.
