Shorecrest Alpha students in Ms. Sweet's class had a fun-filled field experience at Jay Luigi Italian Restaurant in Tampa.

Their adventure began in the “Dough Den,” where they watched how pizza dough is made and stored. They learned that all the dough ingredients are poured into a giant mixer - much bigger than the one they use in the Experiential School kitchen! Next they were invited into the kitchen to make their own individual pizzas. They learned how to press dough, how to spread sauce and how to sprinkle on cheese. After the pizzas baked everyone got to enjoy their delicious creations, which tasted even better than they looked!
