Shorecrest Thespian Troupe 3140 travelled "across the pond" to Tampa for the Florida State Thespians competition in March 2014. The judges couldn't get enough of these talented actors!

After their most outstanding year ever at Districts, THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND was one of only 8 productions chosen in the state of Florida to be showcased in the Mainstage competition at the Straz Center in Tampa.
Our one-act play, THE INSANITY OF MARY GIRARD, was not only Critic's Choice-Honorable Mention at Districts and one of the three one-acts selected to represent Pinellas County at State competition, but also garnered the Golden Hammer Best Tech Award, Best Leading Actress Award for Kylie Heyman '15, and All-Star cast award for Yichen L. All 32 members of the Theatre classes are in the cast and crew for this show, so for the first time ever, our entire troupe performed at State Thespians!
In the Individual Event competition, we had two Critic's Choice winners who performed their songs for everyone at the District Thespian Festival showcase: Franci Holland '14 and James Wenz '14 in Duet Musical and Kylie Heyman '15 in Solo Musical.
In addition, the following Superior rated events also represented Shorecrest at the State Competition: Corinne Leavengood '14 (Critic's Choice Honorable Mention in Playwriting); Matthew Johnson '15 (Critic's Choice-Honorable Mention in Student Directed Scene); Heyman and Company (Large Group Musical; Jami-lyn Fehr '14 (Solo Musical), Fehr & Company (Small Group Musical) and Peter L (Playwriting).
