Razed Documentary Screening & Panel Discussion - Tuesday, May 12
Shorecrest is proud to host a free community showing of “Razed,” a documentary film about the displacement of St. Petersburg's historic Gas Plant Neighborhood. The showing and subsequent panel discussion with the filmmakers will be held in the Janet Root Theatre at Shorecrest at 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 12. The event is free and open to the public.
Razed is the story of St. Petersburg’s historic Gas Plant Neighborhood. It shares the firsthand stories and memories from the community, presented in a historical context through documentary filmmaking. The film is directed and produced by Andrew Lee and Tara Segall of Roundhouse Creative, in partnership with Gwendolyn Reese of the African American Heritage Association of St. Petersburg, and with support from the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg.
