Furry Friend in AP Psych

Christine Fasan of K9 Holistics visited Shorecrest Upper School's AP Psychology class to help students understand concepts of classical and operant conditioning. Fasan brought Hendrix, a three-legged therapy dog who was rescued a few years ago. The class is studying the psychological components of learning, specifically operant and classical conditioning (ie: Pavlov’s dogs). The students were eager to volunteer to help train Hendrix to make new associations using the positive reinforcer of hot dogs!
