Kaori Jackson '26 Recognized by City of St. Petersburg for Volunteer Service

Shorecrest senior Kaori Jackson '26 has been honored by the City of St. Petersburg for her volunteer commitment to the Parks and Recreation Department's Junior Leader Program. Kaori was named Junior Leader of the Year for her exceptional service at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. 

In her role as a Junior Leader, Kaori assists the preserve's camp programs, ensuring that campers have a fun, memorable, and safe camp experience. She leads hikes and nature explorations, creates and supports camp activities, and teaches campers about wildlife and the natural world. 

Kaori received her award during the Community Enrichment Volunteer Social on October 15, 2025, where city leaders celebrated the contributions of youth volunteers who make a difference in St. Petersburg.
