CHARGERS SWIMMERS FINISH SEASON STRONG: Regionals & State

Upper School News


Shorecrest swimmers headed into the 1A-2 Region meet with a lot of confidence after winning the District Meet the week before.
 
The girls team finished third overall with Sarah Lankford ‘22 leading the squad with a first place finish in the 200 Free and a third place finish in the 500 Free, which was new school record time of 4:59.88. The girls 200 Free Relay (Emery Camp ‘20, Ainsley Burke ‘23, Shannon Ross ’21 and Sarah Lankford ‘22) finished fourth and qualified for the state meet and the 400 Free Relay (Emery Camp ‘20, Ainsley Burke ‘23, Devyn Kropf ’22 and Sarah Lankford ‘22) finished third and also qualified to compete at the next level.
 
The boys team finished fourth overall and qualified three boy relays to the state meet. The 200 Medley Relay (Misha Muskepo ‘20, David Sartania ‘20, Joseph Brockman ‘20 and Michael Longino ‘20) finished 5th, the 200 Free Relay (Spencer Mendelsohn ‘21, Jack Warburton ‘20, Evan Hoefer ‘21 and Michael Longino ‘20) finished 6th and the 400 Free Relay (Misha Muskepo ‘20, Spencer Mendelsohn ‘21, Evan Hoefer ‘21 and Joseph Brockman ‘20) finished 5th. Congratulations to all of the team on a job well done.
 
Competing at the state meet were: Ainsley Burke ‘23, Emery Camp ‘20, Devyn Kropf ‘22, Sarah Lankford ‘22, Shannon Ross ‘21, Joseph Brockman ‘20, Evan Hoefer ‘21, Michael Longino ‘20, Spencer Mendelsohn ‘21, Misha Muskepo ‘20, David Sartania ‘20 and Jack Warburton ‘20.
 
For the girls, Sarah Lankford ‘22, finished 6th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 500 Free and the girls 200 Free Relay was 15th and the 400 Free was 16th.
 
Joseph Brockman ‘20 finished 12th in the 500 Free and the boys Medley Relay was 14th, the 200 Free was 12th and the 400 Free was also 12th.
 
Excellent job by all the Chargers swimmers!
