Chargers Football Plays in 3rd Consecutive State Championship

Going into the 2023 season, there was some degree of skepticism about the Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Football team's chances of winning another championship after losing 12 seniors after the 2022 championship team. Although good pieces remained, key positions needed to be filled and building continuity with a new signal caller being our biggest challenge. All skepticism was eradicated as the members of the team worked diligently day after day to gel and do everything possible to maintain the level of play established by those who had played before them. Injuries to key players caused some obstacles; but backups stepped in and played at a high level, allowing the team to stay the course. 

The team began the year with one goal, which was to get better each day. This team has met that goal, and demonstrated resilience and tenacity throughout the season. By far the highlight of the season was watching a number of first-time and inexperienced players take to the field and compete at a high level, all while improving at the same time. This group has met every challenge it has faced in practices and games, and has made its mark in the annals of SSAC football. 

Cheer on your Chargers vs. Master's Academy on Saturday, November 18 at Bryant Stadium (1125 N Florida Ave, Lakeland, FL 33805) at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm. 

Admission is $10 in advance through S2Pass and $15 cash at the gate. Children 6 and under are free. No FHSAA passes accepted. No outside food or beverages will be permitted inside the facility. There will be concessions available during the game.

You can download S2 Pass from the App Store or Google Play (links below). Once you have downloaded the app, you may purchase your ticket(s), and it will be scanned upon entry from your smartphone. Please be sure to purchase your ticket(s) prior to arrival. Important Detail: In the "Find Your School" section, you will search "SSAA." Once there, you will click on "Events" and see the available tickets for purchase.
