Real World Learning — The Art of Strategy
Hands-on and high-impact are the promise of the Warren Workshops at Shorecrest. Over four weeks, Duncan Simester, professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and an expert in the use of economics and data to create successful marketing campaigns, brought strategy and differentiation to life, offering insights that reach far beyond business and spoke to how our students’ futures depend on their ability to stand out from the crowd. In addition, Steve Grimes, CMO for Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, collaborated with students to craft a fresh tourism strategy for the Tampa Bay region. Who knows—one of their taglines may show up in a future campaign!
Thirty-five Shorecrest Upper School students attended the fall 2025 Warren Workshop series, an elective, weeks-long, interactive workshop within the Ross Roeder Institute for Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Economics (RRI) at Shorecrest. Envisioned to offer an evolving set of relevant topics, skills, and guest experts, this series centered around the Art of Strategy.
In Spring 2026 RRI plans to run a series on International Business and one on Advertising / Marketing.
