Upper School Honor Society Tapping

The Upper School Honor Society Tapping Ceremony is an annual tradition wherein members of current honor societies inform new members of their invitation to join. Each honor society is connected to a national society outside of Shorecrest, and they set the guidelines for admissions to their own society. We are proud to be able to host chapters of these societies here at Shorecrest, and we are thrilled that many students so prominently represent Shorecrest as members in those chapters. 

This year students were inducted into the following Honor Societies: Société Honoraire de Francais, the International Thespian Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math), National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, Rho Kappa (Social Studies), Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Quill and Scroll - and for the first year - the International Robotics Honor Society.

Students who were tapped demonstrate hard work and dedication. It is the result of investing countless hours spent refining the disciplined art of studying, practicing and performing. It’s the result of choosing to do a little better and to be a little better while accepting support and guidance from family, friends, teachers, coaches, and administrators. It’s also the result of being inspired by the many individuals tapped before you.
